Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor

The Public Appointments Service (PAS) on behalf of the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) has launched a recruitment campaign for a Senior Legal Advisor.

The Senior Legal Advisor role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a unique and challenging environment, dealing with a wide variety of legal work in relation to the provision of legal advice and services to GSOC. They will contribute to GSOC’s oversight of members of the Garda Síochána and help shape new ways of working to improve the delivery of services under a new operational model for dealing with complaints of Garda misconduct arising from upcoming legislative change.

Candidates will be expected to act ethically and in accordance with the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and fairness at all times in keeping with GSOC’s core values.

The successful candidates will be based in GSOC headquarters at 150 Upper Abbey Street, Dublin 1.

The closing date for applications is 3pm on Thursday 22 September 2022. Applications must be made through PAS.
